I got into a wonderful conversation with a dear friend the other day about Romantics. I know this one well because there was a time when I would refer to myself as "an incurable romantic".

I think I have been writing poetry since I learned haikus in 3rd grade. Then came my first girlfriend. Having been born with a vivid imagination, she quickly became the focus of most of my mental capacity and I put pen to paper. Although the women changed, wanting the object of my desire to be the object her desire was something that remained a personal theme for decades....

Time Magazine just published an article about happiness for women in relationships, looking at the radical changes between today and the past. What still hangs out there as being unmeasurable is happiness, joy or even satisfaction in a relationship. Both are emotional subjective value judgments that may not truly reflect the quality of a relationship...

I get asked often, “What should I do if I am not aligned with a person I’m really interested in; should I tell him we’re not a good match and move on?”

To begin with I have the belief that there are no accidents, so if someone or something shows up in my life there is a reason… a lesson to learn or teach, some unfinished business that I have been avoiding, something I need to see or hear that is still not clear to me, etc.

Is he or she still breathing?  If not, then they are too old!

OK, seriously, this age thing is one huge bugaboo, only because so many people get entirely caught up with someone’s age long before they even give the person a chance.

I am going to make one very pointed statement to anyone that has made a decision about a man or women’s age before they took the time to learn more about them. You flat out DON’T KNOW SQWAT…and what you think you know is probably WRONG!!!!
